These Telefunken tubes are of the Smooth Plate variety. They are
also known as Solid Plates.
These tubes have been Re-boxed.
The Telefunken EF86 Vacuum tube is a miniature type,
low noise, low microphonic pentode used in the
early stages of high gain, high quality amplifiers and
microphones. This is a Long Life tube that requires a
miniature 9-contact socket.

vacuum tube is simply the best. Period! It has Extremely
low noise. It is very clear sounding with excellent
definition. It is very warm sounding. It has incredible
gain and input dynamics. It is accurate in
detail above and beyond any modern production EF86 tube
manufactured today. Hence its use extensively

example where the Telefunken EF86 was present. These were

U67's which were the main stay of mic's used by the
