Screen-grid Tetrode
The Raytheon 715B / RK715B is a pulse amplifier tetrode
made for airborne radar modulators. It runs 15 kilovolts
at 15 amps peak power. It has a quad in-line cathode
inside a single electrode structure with gold-plated
grids. They have Mo-Zr plates. It is Similar to a 715A
tube, but with larger grid radiating fins and improved
ratings. The heater is designed to operate directly from
the aircraft storage battery at between 22 and 28.5
volts. The RK-715B tube uses a 4-pin base, jumbo-like,
from a notched ceramic wafer.
