Subminiature Pentode
The 5840 / EF732 Vacuum tube is a special high quality
version of the EF732 or 5840W pentode. They are known for their
low microphonics and extremely low noise.
The 5840W is simply a ruggedized version of the 5840
5840 / EF732 tubes are used in TELEFUNKEN
Elektroakustik's current production models of the
AK-47 MkII and ELA M 260 microphones. They are also used in the mxl 2001 mod,
Mojave Audio tube mics, Altec Lansing M-20 and in the R-122V tube ribbon microphone.
They give a Fabulously
balanced and rich tone.
