High-Mu Microwave Power Triode
This 2C39WA tube is a VHF power transmitter tube
that was made for the US Navy. It is a popular tube for
mobile transmitters and telephony made in the late
1940's & early 50's. It is also used in vintage military
signal generators such as the AN/USM-16 10-440 MHz.
The Eimac 2C39A Vacuum tube is a forced-air-cooled type
used as a RF power amplifier, oscillator, and frequency
multiplier. It may be used at full input up to 2500 MHz
and at higher frequencies in
cathode-drive circuits of the coaxial-cylinder type.
The Class C Telegraphy maximum CCS plate dissipation is
100 watts. It requires a special mounting which should
support the tube by the plate-terminal flange only. It
may be operated in any position. Flexible connectors of
the spring-contact type are required for all terminal
connections.
