Output Beam Tetrode
The 6N45V / 6P45S Vacuum tube is used in the output
stages of TV scan modules and Shortwave radio
applications. It is a cathode type oxide tube that uses
indirect heating.
6N45C / 6P45C Tubes are rates for a minimum of 5000 Hours and require a 9 - Pin socket.

WARNING ~ The Svetlana EL509-2, EL509-3 and JJ EL509S are
eight pin octal based versions of the EL509 / EL519. These modified tubes do not have the top
plate cap. Instead of the top plate cap, they use a pin on the octal base. You can use these
tubes but only if the socket is wired different.
WARNING ~ The preferred
substitutes such as 6KG6A, EL509 and EL519 may be taller
than 6N45C, 6N45S, 6P45C and 6P45S tubes.
Those tubes may not allow you to put your cover back on
your radio or amplifier.
Make sure you measure your tubes!
All 6N45C, 6N45S, 6P45C and 6P45S tubes measure 4 - 5/8
inches tall.
To measure a tube, place the tube on a table
standing on its pins. Using a tape measure or ruler,
measure the tube from the table top to the top of the
cap.~ Rod.
