Sharp-Cutoff Pentode

The 15 Vacuum tube is a glass type used as an RF
amplifier in battery-operated receivers.
This tube was developed by Sylvania and first marketed in 1933.
It was a sharp cutoff pentode used in RF stages and as an autodyne
converter in 2 volt battery radios. There were no direct equivalents.
Sylvania marketed the tube and it was also sold by Raytheon and Philco
and National Union, as the NU-15.
