Saturation diode
The 1236C Vacuum tube, also known as an AR7241G2, is a Loctal temperature-limited diode for voltage
stabilisation applications.
GE, Sylvania, Superior Electric and Thermosen were among the manufacturers.
It was introduced early in 1957 by The Superior Electric Co., and later by Thermosen, for use as a
RMS detector and for current stabilizers.
Operating conditions:
Filament (tungsten) 1.9 to 2.3V,
440 to 520mA;
Plate 0.7mA at 600V,
1.0mA at 700V.
