The BUGERA 12AX7A is a high-end version of the standard
12AX7 as it features ultra-low audio and microphonic
noise. It provides a maximum level of gain and overall
tonal quality with superior reliability and consistency
plus features an extremely open and expressive tonal
spectrum, with a balanced and smooth frequency response.
This tube type is used in Behringer products.
In other words, it's a really good, decent sounding tube.
The 12AX7A Vacuum tube is a
miniature type used as a phase inverter or amplifier in
AC/DC radio equipment and in many diversified
applications such as
multivibrators or oscillators in industrial control
devices.
Bugera amps, manufactured by Behringer, are designed in Germany and put together with parts
manufactured entirely in their Chinese factories from speaker cones to coils. The Bugera amps
are based of the Fender Bassman amps and are dedicated to achieving warm tube tone.
They require a noval 9-contact socket.
