They should be mounted in a vertical position.
Horizontal operation is permissible if pins 1
and 4 are in a vertical plane.
The 45 Vacuum tube was first manufactured by RCA in 1930.
The Philco Electronics Corporation was the automotive
electronics design and manufacturing subsidiary of the
Ford Motor Company based in Dearborn Michigan.
These tubes were used extensively in Automobile / Car
radios.
