Triode
The RCA 8000 / GL-800 Vacuum tube is a 4 pin low mu
(16.5) 125 watt CCS triode. The cap on the side is the grid
connection. The cap at the side is the grid connection. The top cap is for the plate.
The 8000 was designed in the early 1940's. The first mention of this tube is in February/March 1941 issue of
"Ham Tips from RCA."
The Overall height is approximately 8 1/4 inches tall. It uses a 4 pin UX-Base socket and fits the same socket as the
211, 810 and 845 triode tubes.
